Dear colleague and Fellow Citizen,
Everyday 23 pregnant women and 137 newborns die in Tanzania, many from preventable causes. One of the causes is lack of skilled birth attendant in our health facilities.
Tomorrow is the International Day of the Midwife. Please use the attached press releases to spread the word to politicians, the government, private sector and all stakeholders including the community so that together we work to increase the number of midwives and in turn reduce the unnecessary deaths.
